How to make delicious plunger / french press coffee.
French Press Brew Guide
Coffee Used: Royal Parade Blend.
Apply 15g of coffee to every 250ml of water.
In this guide, we are using 18g of coffee and 300ml of water.
Water temp should be between 93 – 96 degrees celcius.
Tip – Boil filtered water in kettle. When kettle completes boil let water sit for approximately 45 seconds to achieve a temperature between 93 - 96 degrees celcius.
Serves 2
1. Pre-heat french press using hot water for 30 seconds.
2. Tip water out.
3. Place french press on scales.
4. Add 18g freshly ground coarse coffee into french press. Tare scales.
5. Start timer as you begin to pour 150ml of hot filtered water into the french press. Gently stir with spoon to ensure all coffee grounds are saturated.
6. Pour remaining 150g of hot filtered water into french press. Gently stir again.
7. Remove french press from scales.
8. Place french press lid on but do not press down. Let coffee brew for 4 minutes.
9. Slowly push the french press down til it bottoms out.
10. Your coffee is now ready to serve. Enjoy.
